Need a little help in websites please ?

Okay..so im trying to make my own website from like one year..Im a small.. only 14..But i like discovering things about computers, gadgets and stuff..I like nature too and so want to make my own website based on nature. Now there are two problems..How do i make a website ? & How do i make it popular ? I'd also like to ask that is putting adds on your website important ? I tried sites like Webs.com but couldnt get much help..I kind of messed up in it..I need help in the written part of a website..I want to show people the great collection of pictures i have. Are there like applications on Internet which allow you to display pictures only ? (like on a website you write and put pictures, are there any applications where you can show only the pictures ?) Sorry for such a messed up question..Just eager and excited to make a website of my own... I would appreciate all the answers :D :)
