How do i get him to like me, or does he already like me?

Alright soi like my best friend, and we were talking and I asked him out. He said not right now he was just getting over a bad relationship. So I said alright. Later on we were talking and we got on the subject of me liking him agian, i told him i really liked him and it was really hard to explain. I did so in a Long meaning ful manner. he said he feels touched and really liked me too. does he like me or is he just saying so ... btw we r 15 so its highschool stuff.
